Flora Europaea perennial, G xeric arenophile maritime species the species is a western Palearctic litoral species, splitted into several subspecies, the one present in Romania being a west and north Pontic one Festucetea vaginatae, maritime arenophile associations R16 habitats (the maritime ones) in Romania quite localized on the sand dunes along the Black Sea         A maritime arenophile species which is quite rare along the shores of the Black Sea in the Romanian territory.
